Being a fan of the Godwars codebase since I first played back in
1997, I was always in love with my home mud. Godwars: Apocalypse was a
great mud with wonderful players and staff members. Closing down many
years later, Rebirth of Apocalypse was formed.
This mud is run by what
people today would call a tyrant. Demeaning chars on his mud
constantly, the owner of this mud is a WONDERFUL coder. To run a mud
though, is a different story. I believe in one main thing when playing
a mud, and that is balance. This mud has semi-balance with the owner
not open for suggestions towards attaining maximum balance. His
tyranny overrules all, and it makes the place not so fun to play at.
Most people say they keep coming back because of the players that are
there. I am one of those people. I don't think the imms care about the
players. They care about the numbers, and that is NOT the way to run a
mud. The newbie aspect of the game is excellent, however if you plan
on playing a mud where balance is an issue for you, skip this mud
because it is not the best place ATM.
