We are currently in building stage, seeking staff members who are
willing to put in some time when they have it. Suggestions on
improvements are always welcome.

This MUD is a mix of steampunk, scifi, and medieval fantasy, balance
is geared toward the RP aspects and rp is highly encouraged. In
fact, players who do not partake in at least some of the rp may
find themselves at a bit of a disadvantage.

Certain features are still in the WIP stage such as crafting but by 
the time the world is built they should be completed. Stop on by,
catch Ismirra, Jade, or Naylor and either help out or just chill and
chat til the zones are all built!

4 Liberty is text based game. The game like it's name sake
has a strong affinity to freedom, capitialism, and an aversion
to paper currency. The game takes place in a medieval time 
period with a fantasy setting. The game is designed to be 
friendly to the following group: blind accessible, mud phone
players, and those who don't want their religion conflicted
with by playing a game. It is full of quests, wild animals,
zombies, and political situations where the right decision 
is the one you make.

In a world where darkness is your enemy. You can't hide, and there
is no stopping it. Our planets are turning into breeding grounds for 
drugs, prostitutes, and mindless violence. Drug lords roam the land 
trying to get you addicted to the virus of the mind, to suck you in 
to the ever-dyeing abyss. Prostitutes scour the earth selling 
themselves for any scrap they can get while new technology 
develops from simple guns to complex starships, though they are 
crashing faster then ever.  Blood lies in ever street corner and 
the Mercenaries are nothing but ruthless. Civilians are the 
targets to recruit of these bloodthirsty barbarians. For those 
who are likely to be taken in only to have little safety. 
It isn't much better then standing on a chair with a noose on 
your neck waiting for someone to kick it, maybe even hoping for it. 
From planet to planet, group to group, seeking power, safety, a 
means for living.
 
We have our own reasons for doing what we do, killing destroying 
plaguing, but more often than not it comes down to survival. Survival 
of the fittest many have said well. 
The fight for supreme rule continues. 
Trying is useless; you will die. 
Can you trust your neighbor, family...
or even yourself?!

Europa Mud II recently reopened in April of 2013 as a means
for the players who used to play and enjoy the nostalgia. 
Although quests are not hard coded, we have a small dedicated
player base who will take anyone around to learn and enjoy
the experience.

Some of the features include 39 EuropaII-Original zones. An
arena system, clans, player housing, auction system, and
more to list and more to come! Stop in and let's keep adding
to the Europa II history! We look forward to seeing everyone

THE 5TH WORLD is a medieval fantasy MUSH set in a technologically
advanced society. They have intentionally reverted their culture to to
a medieval state in order to encourage the use of melee weapons in
the form of knighthood. They do, however, retain the full use of
technological advancements in communications, travel, entertainment,
and many other areas. This leads to a blending of fantasy and science

Seven Spindles MUX is set in the world of Pern at High Reaches Weyr
at the start of the 4th Pass. Society is shifting, the last vestiges
of ancient technology and knowledge is fading from use and memory and
new traditions are being formed as the Weyr-Hold-Craft system is
cemented. Join us as we explore this transition, the reasons behind
changes and the settings of traditions, as we face thread and all of 
life's other joys and sorrows.

Our theme is, ultimately, an exploration into how an equalitarian and
technologically advanced society that can travel stars became the
repressive, gender biased feudal society seen in Ms. McCaffrey’s
first books. We do this by exploring natural and man-made crisis that
might lead to both the rapid loss of knowledge and a more rigid,
inflexible society and political system using one of the periods of
greater upheaval in that societal history, the beginning of a pass. So
as not to interact with any of the current Pern books, either those
penned by Ms. McCaffrey or those by her son, we have chosen to work in
the time period just prior to and including the beginnings of the
4th Pass of the Red Star. We are treating the books of both authors as
canon in our game and integrating their stories into our history to 
help give us background in which to play and attempt to answer the 
general theme questions.

The New Republic is in its infancy and attempting to unite the galaxy
under the banner of freedom. 
The Imperial Remnant has lost ground due to internal jockeying for
power in the absence of the Emperor and Lord Vader. Their war is both
with the New Republic and themselves.
Luke is actively recruiting talented beings into the New Jedi Order.
He also seeks to strengthen ties between the Jedi and other force
traditions. 
The Hutt empire has seized the opportunity to expand their influence.
Mandalorians have a treaty with the New Republic, but are in the midst
of a battle to rid their planet of Imperial occupation for good.
Seedy underworld organizations are becoming more active and bounty
hunting business is good.

The vision is to have a place where both players and the GMs create
FUN roleplaying experiences for each other.

Based on the world of Idurel, the players of Gauntlet MUD can 
explore a world saturated by the currents of magic that swirl
through and around everything, living or inanimate.  This 'flow', 
as it is called, can be tapped by the Flowbinders, who bend reality
to their will.  
Meanwhile, the fighting men and women of Idurel struggle to keep 
peace in their homelands - or to wrench power from their enemies. 
The game, in alpha state, centers on the frontier town of Dellwyn 
and the surrounding areas.  Will you join the militia and fight for 
freedom, or will you join the Order of the Seekers and harness the 
power of the currents?  
With a completely manual combat system and customized spellcasting 
in a world crafted from the first room to be consistent, Gauntlet MUD 
provides a different, exciting experience.  The staff is looking for
builders and playtesters, and the MUD will begin an open ALPHA on 
March 15th, 2013.

This is the original Fires of Heaven MUD as of 
somewhere around 2003.  I came across this archive
while going through some old disks (yes, floppy disks,
I told you it was old) and became extremely nostalgic.
The only changes that have been made were necessary 
for the MUD to compile under GCC4.  

If you are a returning player, leave me a note and 
I'll reguild you. Sadly, I did not find a backup of 
character files in this archive.  I still have a few 
boxes of floppy disks to go through, so I may come 
across them, but please do not ask me about it.

I will not be making any significant modifications 
to the code or the areas as it stands.  I just simply
do not have the time to do so.  I will, however, be 
logging on and playing through the game.  It will be 
nice to see some old familiar faces from time to time!

Farvana - formerly Ingvi's World - is based on its creator's RPG
world, and thus is a tour through his (sometimes demented :))
imagination. The MUCK started out as an elaborate present built for a
birthday LAN party, a puzzle for those attending to solve plus other
places to explore. Building on Farvana is highly encouraged: there are
no builder quotas and we intend never to have to impose them. City
areas stand ready for your imagination, along with wild lands.
New areas will be created on request. Preybots have been implemented
in the wild lands for those who like to hunt. Farvana is a varied
place, with room for the creativity of many minds. Come build and
(role)play with us!

The civilized sections of the core area are primarily fantasy with
a modernistic bent; the new headwiz also has a Chrono-Trigger-themed
area under construction. The wizstaff is currently not asking for
character submissions, requiring only that a new player submit basic
information for legal arse-covering purposes.

You have reached By Right of Blood, a Multi-User EXperience (MUX)
based off of the Vampire: the Masquerade bookline by 
White Wolf Publishing. The setting is present-day Miami, 
Florida, home to the Sabbat. This Sect of vampires is on a 
mission to prepare themselves for Judgement, when the 
ancient Antediluvians will rise and devour their own childer. 
They use this city as a stronghold as they investigate the 
whereabouts of these apocalyptic time-bombs. Unfortunately, 
the Camarilla would never let the Sabbat control a port city
without a fight, and antagonizes the Sword of Caine in an 
attempt to wrestle dominance of the area from them.

 The Resurgence. Some called it the Rebirth of the Dreaming upon
the Earth. Some called it the scourge responsible for the return 
of the Sidhe. What happened to the human souls kicked out by 
the incoming fae? Those that came back when Arcadia's Gates opened 
had only fragments of memories clouded by the Mists and awareness of 
exile for their part in some great disturbance. What if they were 
revolutionaries? What if they fought against tyrannical gods? What 
if those gods decided they wanted their old toys back?

We invite you to find out.  Oathcircle is a Changeling: the ReDreamed
game set along the shores of the Mississippi River in the County of 
Windamere Bridge, encompassing the fictional cities of Calais du 
Coeur, Louisiana and Deerhorn, Mississippi. Many of the game's 
core ideas remain intact, though some have changed, specifically 
the game's Meta Theme: direct conflict with the Tuathan lords that 
hold Arcadia. A few systematic modifications have been made and 
some things have been added, including the use of an expanded magic
item creation system and the introduction of the Lost Souls as 
playable options.

Current playable races include: core book Kithain, Kinain, Lost 
Souls, Sorcerers, and mortals. We hope to add Shifter in the future.

Protected by the legendary Jedi Order, the Galactic Republic stood as
a bastion of peace in the galaxy for a thousand generations. Several 
centuries ago, the greatest threat the galaxy has ever known emerged 
in the form of the dark Sith Empire. After a volatile war, the 
Republic emerged victorious and the Sith were assumed to be extinct. 
Nonetheless, the Jedi have maintained a constant vigil over the 
ancient Sith homeworld, Korriban, to protect the galaxy from the 
darkness that still resides in the planet's tombs.

Though a small group of survivors escaped to warn of the Imperial 
invasion, it was only a minor reprieve for the Republic. Korriban was 
one of several worlds to fall in the initial onslaught, and in the 
years that followed, the Republic suffered many more painful defeats. 
Emboldened by their numerous victories, the Empire soon moved to 
conquer the Core Worlds, luring the Republic fleet out of position
and launching a surprise attack against the noble world of Alderaan.
the courageous stand on Alderaan rallied the spirits of Republic
defenders across the galaxy, but the balance of the power remained
in the Empire's favor.

This only fueled the surprise felt when the Imperial Dark Council 
extended the offer to the Republic to engage in peace negotiations. 
Suspecting possible treachery, Republic officials agreed to meet on 
Alderaan, but insisted that the Jedi Order marshal all its resources 
to provide comprehensive security. The Jedi complied, sending most 
senior members of the Order to Alderaan, and leaving only a token 
force in the Temple on Coruscant...

After destroying the Jedi Temple and overwhelming the Republic's 
defenses, Imperial forces occupied Coruscant, holding the planet 
hostage while negotiations restarted on Alderaan. With their capital 
at stake, Republic officials had little choice but to agree to the 
Empire's terms.

The Treaty of Coruscant was signed, forcing the Republic to cede 
control of several star systems and to acknowledge new boundaries of 
Imperial dominion. Though the treaty brought about an official end to 
the war, tensions between the two sides have remained high over the 
last several years, and now, a return to open war seems all but 
inevitable...

Star Wars: Dark Dreams was an idea in 2011 to become a sister 
mush to Star Wars: Age of Strife. As a continuation of a rich 
history, SWDD begins its story in the year 60 ABY. Deviated 
from the established canon, the Yuuzhan Vong never invaded, 
Jacen Solo fell and was killed by his sister and Luke Skywalker 
is dead, opening up an alternative path for the New Republic 
and the Galactic Empire. The game uses rules based off of West 
End Games.

Players are able to play in three main factions. The Galactic
Alliance, which grew from the New Republic, is in a state of 
chaos, mistrust and infighting with each senator seeking what 
is best for themselves and their people, often at the expense 
of others. With growing fears of another Palpatine rising, the 
Jedi have secluded themselves a decade ago. Jedi trained 
Princess Allana Solo of Hapes is trying to form a coalition 
to see the once humble New Republic spirit resurge. Meanwhile, 
under the stability of a less humancentric Fel Empire has grown 
as more planetary leaders tire of the squabbling in the senate. 
While the Empire promises peace and stability, some question 
its motives.

Thriving between the two largest galactic powers are the 
Independent Governments in their various forms of government, 
from the CSA to the Hutt Consortium, even the Bothan Federation 
and the Tapani Empire have found growth.

X-Men rEvolution is an X-Men Movieverse MUSH set in contemporary New
 York City, shortly after the events of the first X-Men movie. With 
a movieverse backdrop, we both come unencumbered with years of 
convoluted comics canon, and also a slightly more real-world feel to
 the setting. Only slightly, though: we’re still running around New 
York playing mutants with superpowers; just without the aliens 
and magic.

Set just after Magneto’s failed attack on the city, the New York of 
rEvolution is a city that is shifting towards the darker edge of the
 spectrum, especially when it comes to life for mutants. With a game
 geared away from the highest edges of power ranges, we’re looking 
to explore not just the interactions between superpowers and combat,
 but the interplay between human nature, social justice, and a city 
where one wrong interaction could push it over the edge.

Second Contract is survival horror. It is set in the near future in a 
world divided into two classes: normal humans who live under the 
civilized protection of the Muses and those who live outside the 
cities in the wilds, away from the gentle oversite of the Muses.

You begin the game as an unaligned human in the peaceful city of 
Aerdaeg, created as an example of civilization by the Muses. As you 
gain experience, you become more adept in the world. Eventually, you 
are able to go on a quest to become a denizen of the wilds or 
discover the secret behind the Muses and join the ranks of the 
elite.

Forgetown is a MUSH based on Games Workshop's popular Warhammer 40k
spinoff 'Necromunda'. The setting is deep within a dark industrial
hive-city, where the law extends only to how many guns you can carry,
and how much backup you can afford.

The game is set in and around the old mining settlement of Forgetown.
All six of the major Houses (clans) have a presence in the town, and
vie for power, taking territory and contracts to gain advantage over
their rivals. Players will all start as a certain class, derived from
their House choice, but aren't limited to following the local House
gang present in the area. In The Underhive, you may stand with
others, but you'll fall alone..

We are a in-development game, with full chargen, stats and skills
systems in place. The IC grid currently contains the town itself and
the surrounding areas that include a two other settlements, a mining
complex and abandoned domes ready for people to move in.

Haven is a completely custom roleplaying enforced game in a modern
paranormal setting. The code has been developed to combine the best
aspects of MUDs and MUSHes as well as unqiue aspects designed just for
this game.

Set in real time in a small new England town that is home to the
weak point between worlds the game orients around the conflict and
cooperation of three disparate factions. Staff work alongside player
Story Runners to create and run regular story and NPCs to help bring
the world to life.

The coded part of the game is also highly advanced, custom combat
styles and attacks, over 60 unique stats with multiple levels. A
unique combat system that allows players to both take on NPC opponents
and switch easily to turn based RP combat for RP scenes.

It is simply a game unlike any other, completely unique code written
from the ground up to combine the best elements of Muds and Mushes
as well as a healthy mix of completely original ideas to create
the best, most immersive and most compelling online roleplaying
experience.

Pokemon Fusion is the place for you. Pokemon Fusion offers the unique
experience to not only become a trainer, but also the opportunity to 
harness the enigmatic power of fusion, allowing trainers and their 
pokemon to fight together as one.

Enter Kasei: An entirely original region west of Johto. From the 
bustling nexus city of Ensou to the eerie black forests of Dovetail 
Town, the entire region is a giant melting pot of people from all 
corners of the globe; people of all shapes, sizes and races. It 
boasts one of the most active Pokemon leagues as well as being the 
largest concentration fusions in the world. This status has brought 
the region great wealth in the form of tourism, but also its own 
share of crime and corruption among its establishments.

Players are free to create almost anything they wish to roleplay as
in the world of Pokemon Fusion muck; be it trainer, everyday citizen,
cop or criminal. Fans of the Pokemon games themselves may be glad to 
know we also offer extensive coded systems to facilitate the 
battling, catching and breeding of the pokemon themselves--with full
support of player vs. player Pokemon battling and more features such
as gyms and Gen 5.5 (Pokemon Black & White 2) in the works. Character
admission is done via an approval process, no lengthy application or
long wait necessary.

Heroes of the Lance 3 is a Dragonlance, Forgotten realms 
based mud with 100+ unique classes, skills, questing,
heart thumping war and fusion/generation systems. 
You choose the skills according to how much your brain can 
hold, and the class will be assigned to you. 

The leveling system extends to 50, and upon there, you gain the 
ability to fusion/mate with another player and go on to the next 
generation (more powerful), being something you have never been 
before. This makes for endless replaying and customising through 
a dynamic gene pool. Note: This is NOT remort. 
During fusion any of the other players limbs and/or genes can 
be transferred to you and vice versa, but be careful, genes 
can also be lost. 

Due to the unique fusion and skill system, no two players are ever 
the same. 

With the exception of standard weapon attacks, combat and 
spell casting time is not randomised, you employ full control 
of when you cast the next spell or strike the next hit 
through our action point system.

PKmud is basically a text deathmatch server.  When 2 or more players
are online, they can start a match with the "start" command.  When
the round begins, players are assigned basic equipment and are
placed randomly around the world.  Players then slaughter nearby weak
NPCs and take their equipment in preparation for finishing off the
other players before the timer expires.

In order to bring new players up to speed quickly, various "immortal"
commands are available to players.  This includes "goto" for learning
the map and "snoop" for watching other players in-game.  The "osearch"
command is used to search the game for items with specific stats,
and "whereload" can then be used to find out where to get the item.

While the game has been up continuously since 1994, it has not been
actively maintained for quite some time.  Should a playerbase appear,
we will commit some development resources.

For years mortals have bickered and fought amongst 
themselves for control of the realm. Among these mortals 
rose four predominant kingdoms, each having its turn of 
power before another took its place. This cycle wasrepeated 
over and again many times, but then they came...

Two great deities fell to the earth that day, engaged 
in a great struggle. For weeks the sky was lit up with 
numbing hail storms and searing waves of fire that they 
hurled at each other. The antagonistic celestials were 
polar opposites; the first, an icy goddess of unimaginable 
beauty, the second, a demonic beast who was endlessly 
ablaze. Shiva and Ifrit were their names it was fearfully 
whispered. With the arrival of these two vicious gods the 
realmswere thrown into a state of pandemonium. Old hatreds 
and vendettas were forgotten as each mortal struggled to 
escape the chaos that the battling deities brought.

With nowhere else to turn, brave adventurers sought out 
these celestials and pledged their loyalty to them. As a 
result of their worship the deities endowed these mortals 
with devastating powers akin to their own element.

Now, with the world they used to know in complete ruin, 
mortals took their places on the battleground alongside their 
patron deity. The realm was once again at war, but this time 
it was not just man versus man, but god versus god...

Geek Master BBS is a server that is being written in Blitz Basic 
and is a learning experience for its programmer.
The system offers the ability to create and log in to accounts.
Once logged in, you can send and check e mail, join the live message 
board, play SwampLandMUD, and more.

The server is still under development and is buggy.
It needs a lot of work, but is currently being play-tested
and debugged by Geek Basic code monkeys.

A few things to note:
1. Backspace is not supported, so it will not fix a typo
2. There is basic character input filtering for some characters
4. There are probably bugs, waiting to be found.

Gloom MUX is an original paranormal/horror game that
pits player-created characters against supernatural entities
from the realm that exists beneath our world, known as the
Gloom by those who have been touched by its power. It 
takes place in present-day London and revolves around the
activities of the Watch: a clandestine organization devoted to
guarding the secret of the Gloom and protecting humanity 
from the creatures that have crossed from one dimension 
into the next.

Players take on the role of members of the Watch and their
allies, whether they are new recruits only just beginning to
learn about the Gloom and its inhabitants, or seasoned 
veterans with several decades of experience under their 
belt — the only thing they have in common is an investment,

WikiMUD is a completely new and original mud. Unlike most muds, this 
one can not be played using any kind of telnet client.  It is hosted 
inside an HTML 5 browser (Chrome/Firefox/IE10) support and most 
actions are executed using mouse click. It has graphics, 
descriptions, locations, objects, creatures, quests - all the 
things you'd expect from any mud, but it feels much more like 
an online graphical (albeit simplified) RPG.

The game has been designed from the ground up with player-
created content in mind. New players can be granted BUILDER 
rights, which will allow them to create locations, areas, 
objects, creatures and quests, completely from within the game 
as they play.  Creating a new location is a simple as clicking 
on a button, entering a name and description and (optionally) 
choosing a graphic, and then linking an exit to the new 
location.

Everything is changeable.

The game is still in pre-alpha and the current live server 
(www.wikimud.com) is only an example of what can be 
accomplished.  It will be updated from time to time and 
content created on the site will most probably be deleted 
everytime the game is updated, until such time as we enter 
BETA stage.  But for now, feel free to explore and play, 
and send feedback.

              NEXUS OF REALITIES - A COMICS CROSSOVER MUX

         Somewhere, deep within the myriad of possible universes that
comprise all that is or could exist, there exists a parallel plane of
existence where the histories of many comic book universes have always
co-existed in at least some altered form since the beginning of time.
However, most of recent history has not been drastically altered, but
has unfolded much as is commonly remembered. It is a universe familiar

Spellbound MUX takes place roughly one hundred and thirty years 
after magic took the world back and is set in a post-apocalyptic
version of Scotland heavily influenced  by Celtic mythology. 

Its focus is Dornie, a settlement on the coastal Highlands 
in the process of gradually reclaiming lost technology in the 
form of a primitive hydroelectric plant and an ammunitions factory 
that is one of the largest weapons producers in the region. In the
world inhabited by Dornie's people, survival is a challenge that
the community approaches together — there are not only dragons
and trolls to contend with, but brutal winters, cholera 
epidemics, and famines as well.

The players on Spellbound MUX are all here not only to tell Dornie's
story, but the stories of individual characters as well, 
which — when woven together — form a tapestry that
all its writers are collectively responsible for.

Stuph was started in the mid-90s and is continuously developed.
While not incredibly feature-rich, it has seen several thousand
players over the past two decades and has a very stable and balanced
game engine with a focus on good, clean playing experience.  It has
a consistent and attractive look and feel, and a feeling of
perpetuity that you might return to the world many have come to love.

Most distinguishing characteristics are part of its fictionalized,
interactive world, which is vast and almost completely unique.  It
is an immersion into the craft and lore of master builders and
writers, a setting of lengthy adventure, immanent villainy, and
feel-good fantasy.  Much of the Stuph experience comes from its
compelling world, offset with time-tested mudding features, and a
unique expression and appearance of mechanical content.

A long-running MUD that has suffered downtime and loss of player-
base because of it, Stuph now has a permanent home on commodity
hardware and a stable and controlled development/release cycle that
has proved itself.  As a topic of research, the head coder seeks to
blend evolutionary programming (smarter npcs, an environment of
intricately instrumented live-action, a more deeply interactive world,
complete web-service buildout from the core) on top of an existing MMO
paradigm.  The challenge is to deliver new and exciting systems of
play beyond the console, accomodate live-coding and also authoritative
control over world dynamics in a real-time setting while maintaining
uptime, game balance, and levels of conventionalism players expect.
