I'll make someone a free website for your mud, uh, for free! =p

Just reply with kinda what you want, and I'll pick the post I like best. I'm doing this because I'm bored and I could use a reference.

I'm not advertising for staff or players so I think this would be the most fitting forum...

I would always like to see sites people have already created in association with posts like this.

Well judging by the overwhelming response I've gotten there may not be any.

First of all, its been a day since you posted. Some people only check the boards every couple of days.

Secondly, Ero meant most people want to see sites that you have already created, so they can see what you are able to do.

I'm not asking for anything, if someone doesn't like what I were to make they wouldn't have to use it. People like you is why I don't play muds anymore and rarly visit here.

I doubt Ero or Skorpion meant any offence - Ero was simply asking if you could provide a lint to some of your work.
Lets assume that somebody already has a website for their mud - they wouldn't want to waste your time by asking you to make something that they might then refuse - if somebody can see an example of work you've already done then they'll know if your style would suit their mud. No need to get arsey, it didn't sound like anybody was insulting anyone else.

Also, if you provide a link and it didn't suit what Ero was after, he might know somebody that would be interested, and you'd also get more serious responses from other people...

What Ero said was fine, although I think one of us is interpreting it wrong. Skor was criticizing me though, unwarranted and unwanted.

I assumed you were being sarcastic with your comment, and sounds like Skorpian was just saying that you'll not get a big response instantly...

If you rarely visit here then I'm sure others rarely do too, so that's why Skorpian said it.

Unless there's some agro between you and Skorpian already and I don't know about it... by the way, do you have any links to previous werbsites you've done - you never did post any :)

Rule of thumb, any post that consists of 'firstly blah blah blah, and second yada yada yada' is usually a flame, as in this case. I'm sorry you can't look beyond your own perfect world and see things for what they are. My aunt avoids anything relating to news because bad things happen and she wants to pretend they don't, it doesn't make her a bad person.

Of course I can, it just appeared as though there was no sniping at first, though having now witnessed the chip you seem to carry on your shoulder, I can now see just why Skorpian might have had a go at right from the start

In hindsight I should probably have followed Skorpian up and slated your original offer of a free website, so as to spare any mud admins that would be subjected to listening to your whinings.

It's because of people like you that I continue to play muds with a smirk, knowing that some people take things far too seriously and personally.

you seem to be under the impression that skor and I know eachother.. since your wrong about that, perhaps you could be wrong about other things? if you read far enough into something you can make yourself think it says whatever you want

I believe guinn_uk was referring to the way you replied to Skorpian. He, although somewhat sarcastically (validated by your original no-less sarcastic comment) gave valid points, to which you seemed to overreact.

Anyway, just so that there's no trouble of misunderstanding (by any party), would you be as kind as to provide links to works you have already done, or at least list all web-related things you can do, including languages, databases, et cetera?

How was I critisizing you? I advised you not to come to conclusions so quickly as to the fact that no one wanted you, because some people do not check the boards daily.

I also advised you to show samples of your work... not sure how that was offensive.

So have a lot of people, but what really counts is how much skill you have with them, which is precisely the reason people like to see samples.

It's like going to apply for a job as a graphics designer. There is no way in hell they will hire you if you have no samples, as they don't know if it will be worth their effort or yours.

I'm not applying for a job, I was volunteering.
I can't remember any time before this that I had to prove I would make a good volunteer.

our website is normally located at uha1.com .net .org
and currently is at infoslash.org/~uha1
the mud will be an area fo the website that will need to be designed with a flavor of the colors and images
our normal traffic to the site will make for a huge mud eventually so we aiming at a really fluid design
