Okay
so not really.

What I /do/ need help with though is just a
tidbit of website-type code.

I'm just looking for how to code up an access
type dealy, kind of like what this place
has to access the boards, if not even more
simple.

Just like one password, maybe even one user-name
to access the stuff in the site..

Just think something along the lines of a clan-
only type site purpose, that's what I'm going
for here. :)

E-mail me, or post it here, or fax it,
or.. well.. whatever. :)

Thank you

Nick

Here are two weblinks I think will help you.
If your host is using Unix/Apache check out this page on
Authentication:
http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/html/97/08/index2a.html?tw=backend

If your host can run Perl scripts (both Unix and NT can)
check out http://io.spaceports.com/~wysardry/cgi/index.htm -
particularly the 'Secure Area' section.

Hope this helps, feel free to drop me a line if you need
more in-depth help.

Howdy,

if your webserver uses apache, it should
have this feature buildin already, just
use the htpasswd command and *wham* you got
what you want... theres probably a man page on
it. If not, I'm sure your friendly web-server admin
will love to help you with this.

Brian
