I am looking for someone to host my domain name and mud all in one.
Any suggestions?

I been through a lot of hosts over the years, I've even worked for two of them, and I have to say I'm currently with Wolfpaw and very satisfied. They have the size to cut you a good deal without cutting corners, and the brains and experience required not to do something stupid.

I host mine through ISUnlimited.net, though admittedly it does help that I also own ISU. :)

We offer free development packages that can be upgraded as you go beyond the constraints that are placed on the free accounts. The advantage that we offer is the ability to customize any section of your account that you want rather than having to upgrade areas that you'll never use in a package deal. Our services go all the way from standard MUD hosting to colocated or dedicated servers (even custom dedicated servers), so we're able to meet and exceed the needs of any size game.

I filled in a form or send in an email or somethign of the sort for ISUnlimited .. btu never heard anything back from them.
As such i cannot personally recommend them.
If the owner frequents these boards then maybe you have an inroad .. who knows.

I use Wolfpaw.net

I've used them for years, last 5 at least. I host 4 business websites there (with 2 more soon), 2 muds (now one, my project mud had no time).

They're ultra-reliable, huge pipe (it's seems to always be fast, very fast), and one of the few hosts that is set up with mudding in mind. They also have a very serious dedicated server package, co-locations etc if you're in business.

The owner, Dale, is a great guy. I met him when we moved Ansalon from Mudservices to Wolfpaw back near the end of 2000. If you want a server where you can call and talk to someone, with a professional result at a great price, go Wolfpaw. Last time I looked it's about $10 a month per port for muds (same on web hosting), with discounts for paying yearly.

Quadrat,

I'd suggest that you may want to check your spam filters or see what's up. I sent a lengthy reply to you on May 12th (about 45 minutes after you emailed me):

Signing up for the ISFree package is as simple as going to our website and filling in some information. If, in the future, you choose to upgrade from that point, you can simply contact our sales team and we can upgrade you from there. Its a fairly painless process and we can certainly work with you on your needs.

http://www.isunlimited.net/hosting-mu.php has the instructions on how to get signed up for ISFree. At the top right, there is an automated link that will start an email. It works for some programs, but not for others. If it works for you, there will be a list of information to fill in including name, port, etc. If it does not, please select the text link below it and copy that into an email to sales@isunlimited.net. Upon receipt, the sales team will place your request in queue to be added and the support team will set you up. This normally takes less than 24 hours, but we have never had anyone go over a 48 hour timeframe to this point.

Thank you,
Philippe
=============

I'm sorry for the inconvenience that no response offered you. Please feel free to contact us again if you wish to try it one more time.

The blank sections are where name was deleted for privacy. I put in greater than and less than symbols -- apparently, it doesn't like those.
