Argh the Smurfs were annoying! How about, Gummi Bears,
Fraggles, Muppet Babies, Popples, Pound Puppies, Rainbow
Brite, Snorks, Strawberry Shortcake, Thundercats,
Transformers, or the Wuzzles? Of course if you are going with
cute, fluffy, etc, then drop off transformers and thundercats.
:P

I swear if this becomes a chaotic mud and it destroys all my
childhood memories.. I am going to play the hell out of it.

Maybe thundercats and transforms are remort races

and then you gotta figure which classes they are best at.
How can we forget rainbow brite with care bears and my little ponies?

Now then, what classes for primaries?
Ponies = warrior
care bears = mages?
Pound puppies = thieves?
rainbow bright = clerics?

ohh...and if remorts were in on this...can't forget power rangers

Well if it was going to be a godwars mud, then it isn't
necessary to make classes (in the general sense). Like in
godwars muds, there are demons, mages, werewolves, etc.

So just think of groups of abilities for each type of
character.

Care Bears
care bear stare
huggle
kissies

Ponies
trample of love
alicorn of awesome (gore I guess)
rainbow something..

Yeah, it would take a bit of thinking, possibly even
rewatching the old episodes (vomit).

You mentioned power rangers, which version are we talking
about? There is even a new set of power rangers (Power
Rangers: Samurai). :P

I've been watching those new episodes of My Little Pony on TV
and I do not know how this stands in favor with my manhood.

Anyway so for the my little pony mud do we get to class
ourselves as pegasi, unicorns, or ponies? Do we get to
multiclass, I want to be a unicorn pegasus.

I'd say multiclassing is possible but it costs you...makes you have to spend 2 times as long at helping others to gain experience?

Not sure about multiclassing, that'd be a whole lot of
weirdness. I'd say subclassing is easily possible, for
instance carebears would have different crests on their chest,
(tenderheart, grumpy, wish) bears. The ponies had different
things as well, etc, etc.

You know that, no matter what rules you make for a My Little Pony vs. Carebears MUD, players will use it to TS. Do you *really* want that on your conscience?

I could deal with it as long as I get to be Rainbow Dash.

I have wondered the same over the years Epilogy.
I know Jesse had a lot of family stuff going on at
the time and probably just never got back to it. I
know I've done the same with far too many projects
myself. It was a really neat idea though, and I
enjoyed flushing out some of the early
brainstorming. Ah well.

=D someone is finally coming up with THE BEST MUD ideas!!!!

Sounds like the either basis or final result of every MUCK based server ive ever tried. Convert a bunch of adult novelties into weapons/armor and you've got a classic furry theme. Why is it when humans, elves, and dwarves go to war/space/post apoc events, they kill each other. But when <insert cute furry animal here> does the same, their too busy rubbing out their 3rd, 5th, or <odd numbered limb> leg to grind mobs, work the encon system, and compete for glory and fame?

Okay, to the above mentioned reference to smurfs, darn those
little blue bastards! I am tired of those little pickpockets
stealing all my inventory every time I get drunk and stumble
too far east of Midgaard.
