As it happens, I have been trying to learn to code for a while and have had some progress in perl. Though perl is perl and TinyMux is TinyMux, I was just wondering if anybody knows of an actual working (and somewhat updated) site which can give starting out advice and information on TinyMux coding that can actually help someone learn to code in a Mux/Mush enviroment

The old standby is Amberyl's MUSH Manual. While long in the tooth, it's likely still the best primer for mushcode.

Mushcode is a LOT easier to learn than HTML or CSS. :)

And while there are some differences between mush and mux, practically they're the same language. Try:

http://www.mushcode.com

http://n.webring.com/hub?ring=mucode

http://www.martiandreams.com/faraday/softcode/mushcode.shtml

Also look at this site for a few tutorials; click on the Coding link on the top menu bar:

Good luck.
