I'm not sure if this is the best category but it seems to fit. Does anyone use any free data stoarge services online? I want something that I can have for free that will allow myself and other collaborators to share files that would be preferably at least semi secure. Anyone have any experience with this? The only site i've tried doesn't really provide a good way to let multiple users access the storage area.

Thanks in advance.

Why can't you use the ftp that comes with your mud? If you are hosted from home, why not just create an ftp account that only they can use? If that wont work, then you could always use a gmail account and use that for storage.

My mud isn't currently open to the public, and my machine is behind the school firewall and all previous attempts i've made for port triggering of any kind have gone unanswered over the past two years. Email is an option but I figured ftp would allow people to upload directorys in a way that would make me updating those parts of my system much easier.

There's a great one with a little over 2 gigs in storage. it's called Gmail. Sign up for a mutual account you and your friends can know the name and password for. Get firefox (You should have done that already) and then add in Gspace then enjoy.

Not sure about Gspace, but Gmail Drive sounds exactly the same. I use it all the time. Beautiful. Gmail is actually its one hard drive to your computer.

Pretty close, gdrive makes a virtual hard drive on your system which uses the gmail as storage, while gpace treats it more like turning firefox into a ftp application using your gmail.

Of the two I like gspace more, as I have had a lot less connection problems and problems sending larger files with it than gdrive. Also they update things a big faster when theres a change to gmail.
