Hello,

It may be that I'm young and not used to the internet ways of the past, but the account creation here is blowing my mind a little bit. Would it be possible just to let people select their own passwords? Maybe have the little captcha 'enter the letters and numbers in the picture'? It just seems like this would be easier for everyone...

The server creates and emails the password? I see nothing wrong with that and I find it on a number of other sites.

Your initial pwd is mailed to you as a way to verify that you provided a valid email address, since you cannot login without your initial pwd. After that you can and should immediately change it via the settings panel, the email sent should say this much ...
