Hi, I'm a coder who is looking for builders for a new MUD. You would need to write descriptions, think of names and storylines.

I've been programming for about five or six years and at least three of those years has been with game servers. I've written a basic MUD from scratch before so I have a pretty good idea how to write one. I would be writing all the code so you don't need to know any of that stuff yourself. I can write the building interface to suit your needs and any scripts you might need when you build.

We can discuss the details for the MUD later but I will say that I prefer it to be non-RP or optional RP. The setting should be fantasy or sci fi and something custom (something new - not after a book, movie or game).

This is not a paid job, only contact if you have time to work on this and you're passionate about creating your own game.

Can you give more details on the game mechanics you're
planning to implement, as well as what sources like books,
movies, and so on most strongly appeal to you? Star Wars or
Star Trek? Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones?

I haven't decided on the game mechanics yet, was hoping to discuss this with the builders. I do have some ideas but haven't refined them yet because I don't know if anyone will actually want to join me or not and without someone who can write I can't do this. :)

I don't read almost at all, however from sci fi my favorites are the Firefly series and probably Asimov books. I haven't seen Game of Thrones yet so I can't comment on that but I do like the Lord of the Rings. And my favorite games are probably morrowind and thief 2, don't know if that helps. :P
