I hope this doesn't fall under the "only funny to me because I have a odd sense of humor" category.
I needed to do something different so I tried coding a bit for a random guy off of a random ad. Well after getting bored with Star Wars (I'm not a fan) I added a zombie disease to his Star Wars mud (Not nice, I know.) I gave all the players flame throwers, random players disease causing spray, and hid cure spray all over the universe. The disease was spread via the infected's (mob and player) automated coughing, biting and anything to do with fluids. Whenever an infected corpse was created and not burned (turning it to a dormant pile of ash) it would eventually get back up and attack anyone it encountered.
Anyway.. I at most expected a randomly encountered fun slight nuisance which one or two zombies were. However when a zombie reanimated without a player to re-kill and burn it, they reaped havoc on the non-zombie mob population. Instead of one or two of the unburned zombie mobs roaming and attacking, they started moving in ever growing packs. They shambled around in HUGE unorganized groups swarming any non zombie (mob or player)they encountered either making more infected corpses or infecting the poor player who would take the infection to a new area via space travel. This unintentionally created "Zombie Planets" where the players couldn't go without constant scanning and sneaking. There were players hunting cure sprays, selling infection sprays, scouting for clean planets, always buying fresh canteens, a zombie Yoda here or there and piles of ash everywhere. It went from Star Wars to Space Survival Horror in one night.
And that's how I learned I don't have whatever it takes to code on muds that don't interest me.
If your reading this bud, Sorry I *CENSORED*ed with your calm but damn was it funny and fun to watch.

Sounds like it would have been a smashing event if it was intended. :)

Sounds awesome, I'd play that mud. Did he leave the zombie code in or scrap it?

Ahh he went ape *CENSORED* with lots of caps and all that which lead to me quitting, him raging was understandable though with it being a Star Wars mud and all. He didn't know how to code at the time so it wasn't scrapped but he eventually deleted the spray command stopping the players from causing new infections after reboots.

That sounds awesome. You should go do that on some other unsuspecting MUDs, as well.
