Just wondering because so far I have went through 10.

First one could only add color.

second one changed names.

third one made my code look funny

fourth one made it so that the only command the mud would recognize was advance *insert coders name here* 109(max level)

fifth one took it a step further and just edited his pfile

sixth one got arrested for cocaine pposession

seventh died of heart failure when his code worked

eigth is still logged into the shell but has been idle for 3 months

ninth wanted a cookie per word he typed, I'm sure he was a mouse for some odd reason.

and the tenth just didn't know what sprintf does.

I'm sure this haappens but I'd just like to know how many will I have to go through?

if that is a true story then my advice would be to go and learn how to code and do it all yourself

since writing a custom class is trivially easy (in the sense that i gather you intend it), i'd hypothesize that you somehow mistook chimps wearing business suits for coders.

What did i say, advertice for coders and what do you get? Morons that know how to open source files with text editors, and can almost figure out you type make to compile source, only if you have a makefile :P

I'm really not sure what's worse here:
The fact that you expect the coders to add everything you could possibly dream FOR YOU or the fact that the coders are all crap. 9/10 of those that you get out there today are the latter, but 99/100 of the implementors out there today don't know JACK about what goes on in the real code world.

You want the priviledge of being an implementor, or even having shell access, then do something for it. Paying for a mud aint enough to make you an implementor, seriously.

Classses are the easiest thing in the world to add, it's ballancing them that's the major pain.

The question shouldn't be "how many coders does it take to do this", but "Why aren't I doing this myself as the head admin of this game". 1 coder is all it takes to do something right.

Obviously you didn't understand I posted this in the humor section, I do know how the code works, and I know how to add classes, most people probably got a lagh but you serious types with no muscles for laughing scare me and shouldnt even look at the humor forum.

Perhaps in the future, say when you are needing a new item type, you should get the basics on the coders applying for the newly opened position.
Ask important questions like:
What is BASH and how does it work?
What is the difference between ANSI and ASCII?
Is Bill Gates really Satan, or does he just work for him?
Is it further to Dallas than by plane?

A really good coder should be able to answer these questions. It doesn't matter what the answer is, at least you have their attention and if you make them timed, you can even tell how often they typo.
